I enjoy couponing — I am not a extreme couponer by far, but I do enjoy being able to save money using coupons.
I went to Kroger today to pick up prescriptions for my husband and my father-in-law today. I had printed out my list of online Kroger coupons and had all my other coupons with me. It was nice, I spent $50.22 on food and stuff and had a savings of 52.00, by matching the sales and using coupons.
For example: If you bought ten participating Kraft products you got $5 off your order. So Countrytime Lemonade and KoolAid Drink mixes were on sale for $1.49. I had five coupons that said if I bought 2 I’d get $1 off. So I bought ten lemonade and KoolAid drink mixes. Full price would have been $14.90, but with the Kraft sale that took $5 off my order right away, so that brought the price down to $9.90. I had the five coupons for $1 off 2 so that was another $5 off the price bringing my final total for ten drink mixes to $4.90 or .49 cents a piece!
I do buy stuff without coupons — somethings you can’t help but buy full or sale price, but it is nice to save money when you can!
